Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in the performing arts (now called Maureen O'Hara), would be a part of America's child prodigy list. However, for a child from Irish origin, and surrounded by gifted parents and a loving family, those were not innate traits. Maureen joined this family-oriented home on the 17th of August 20th in Ranelagh. Marguerita LIlburn FitzSimons is the woman who raised her. She was a skilled contralto. Charles FitzSimons was a successful businessman from Dublin who also owned a piece of the Irish Shamrock Rovers, a soccer club in Ireland. Maureen FitzSimons was the daughter of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons completed this lovely family. Maureen was a runner who excelled as a young kid. She loved to play in athletic, rough sports. Her passion was coupled with a naturally gifted talent in performance. That was evident when she won every Feis for theatre and drama the Irish had to offer. When she was 14 years old, she joined at the Abbey Theater to follow her ambitions in classical theater and operatic vocals.
